The Retro Bean is a retro styled 1972 Ford ex-school bus revamped into a mobile coffee business. Nicknamed “Priscilla” our bus was relocated here from Melbourne after working at events such as the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show and Moomba. The Retro Bean is an Eastern Shore family run business with a sister coffee business ‘Gilano Coffee’ based in Melbourne.
What We’re About…
We are an Eastern shore based mobile coffee vendor passionate about coffee and proudly using locally roasted Oomph beans to serve perfectly poured espresso to energising lattes & macchiatos served with a smile every time from our amazing baristas. Iced coffees and iced chocolates are a favourite and we also cater tea, chai, hot chocolates, decaf and stock most speciality milks. In addition we serve icy frappes and retro milkshakes and Valhalla choc tops to really hit the spot in warmer months.
Previous catering events include Falls Festivals, Supercars at Symmons Plains, Homefest, Bushfest, Harmony Farmers markets and local school fairs and sports competitions such as Junior Soccer and Equestrian among others. We have high volume coffee output if required with 2 coffee machines on board along with 2 fridges and freezer. We can cater food to a limited extent if required with small pastries, toasted sandwiches or soup depending on available power.
